About

American-soprano Joy J. Jones is an artist in high demand. She has received top honors from the Classical Singer Competition, MTNA Competition, and was the recipient of various fellowships during her vocal studies.

Her operatic repertoire include Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, Marzelline in Beethoven’s Fidelio, Romilda in Handel’s Serse, Elisbetta in Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda, Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Norma in Bellini’s Norma, Della in Conte’s The Gift of the Magi, Marenka in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride, among others. She has appeared with New York Opera Form, Iconoclassic Opera, Amadeus Opera, and at Carnegie Hall.

Ms. Jones holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Sam Houston State University. Highlights of the 2015/16 season include Ms. Jones’ debut with the Natchez Music Festival, in the role of Micaëla in Carmen.

Ms. Jones currently resides in New York City and is a student of Margaret Lattimore.
