Soprano Victoria Kang was born in Busan, Korea. As a young artist, Ms. Kang was recognized as having enormous potential as a singer, winning many awards and competitions in Korea before attending the renowned Verdi Conservatory in Milano, Italy. Following her studies in Milano, she moved to the United States and earned the Artist Diploma from Montclair University.

Ms. Kang made her operatic debut as Olympia at the Alexander Kasser Theater during the 2014/15 season. Following her debut, she went on to sing Adele in Die Fledermaus’ and continued establishing her reputation a compelling lyric soprano, earning praise for her performances of Gilda in Rigoletto and Norina in Don Pasquale, Nina in Giovedi Grasso, Gianetta in L’elisir d’amore, Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Musetta in La boheme, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte.

On the concert stage, Ms. Kang has appeared as the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Creation, and Mozart’s Requiem. She has received numerous awards from competitions including the Concorso Lirico, International Competition of Pietro Argento, National Association of Teachers of Singing, New York Lyric Opera, Riverside Opera, and New Jersey State Opera.

Ms. Kang has also studied and coached with with Luciana Serra, Delfo Menicucci, Ernesto Veronelli, Lucia Lizzi, Gianni Maffeo, Karen Driscoll, and Lorraine Erneste.

Ms. Kang lives in New Jersey.
